The practice was recently invited to participate in a limited competition to design the first of a new family of buildings located on one of Leeds’ premiere business parks.
The brief for this project calls for a building that is both attractive and sustainable; achieving a BREEAM Excellent rating, in addition to the usual requirements for it to be letable, flexible in use and fundable.
An important part of the proposal was to generate an appropriate image and built language, that will respect the previously successful formula of existing buildings on the site, whilst putting down a marker for a new generation of office buildings.
