Works have recently completed on site for the Cat A/B works to the Second Floor offices for Blum UK. The space was left as shell status as part of the previous phase of works, connected by a link bridge across the atrium. The recently completed works have required alterations to the envelope to allow the stairs and lift to be taken up to second floor leveltogether with additional windows and brise soleil to match the existing installation. Additional toilets have been constructed and a series of open plan spaces and individual rooms created in readiness to accept the Cat C fit-out. The new Second Floor suite of spaces will house the Blum Marketing team. Think Architecture provided architectural and CA services for this project.
The main contractor for the Cat A/B works was Parkway Construction (MK) Ltd with Bailey Johnson Hayes providing their structural engineering advice. Blum appointed CS2 to provide QS, M+E and PD services.
Blum appointed Space Invader Design for the Cat C design and bespoke furniture package. Renco Building Services Ltd were appointed as Cat C fit-out contractor and Think Architecture provided a co-ordination and PM role for this phase of the project.
