Nine Bond Court, Leeds

Completed Spring 2009

The office building was originally constructed in 1976 and was occupied by Royal Sun Alliance and has been a well-known landmark on the Leeds City Centre skyline ever since.

The building has seen a series of changes over its lifetime with the elevated access walk way being removed a number of years ago and subsequent alterations made to the entrance.

The scope of this appointment was to reconsider the envelope/fenestration, entrance arrangement, reception design and core area upgrades to improve the buildings image and environmental performance.

With the recent introduction of mechanical ventilation the window pattern has been revised to a floor to ceiling vision glazed unit solution, using a high performance clear glass. A new double height glazed screen has been introduced to the corner addressing Bond Court; this in conjunction with a new entrance lobby gives a dominant feature to this portion of the building befitting its main entrance.
