The client's brief for this reception refurbishment centred around a desire to improve the internal environment of the atrium and the adjoining office space since the previous arrangement of automatic entrance doors when open concurrently allowed cold blasts of air into the atrium space. They also felt the space would benefit from a general update and refresh.
Various options for the entrance doors were considered with the one selected favouring a simple automated revolving door with collapsible leaves to satisfy access requirements.
Proposals to update the atrium and reception environment simplify the palette of materials in the space and as such the green band contrast to the flooring has been replaced with body colour flooring and the entire floor re-ground, grouted and resealed.
Other works to this area include replacement of the reception desk and illuminated signage screen with contemporary items in line with other recent fit-outs undertaken on behalf of Pinsent Masons LLP.
